A Quick Update!

Hi Everyone!
If you don’t follow me on IG, then you missed an announcement I made near the beginning of the year.
I am going to write a book with Tarcher Publishing, expected to come out in Fall ’27.
I’m going to keep most of the description of the book to myself for now.
But I’m anxious and excited to see how this journey unfolds.
The next six months are going to be… interesting.
But I’m trying to take it word by word and not get overwhelmed, which admittedly is easier said than done.
There have already been moments where the task just feels daunting.
And there’s always that inner critic lingering around, waiting for an opportune time to remind you just how much you lack.
But.
What’s there to do but keep typing away?
Last time, when I hit writing blocks, I just cried myself to sleep. (Mostly kidding.)
This time, I don’t think stopping writing is the best idea. Although taking a step away from the screen does help.
I think the key is to not stop writing.
If I get stuck on the book, I’ll pivot and write my sermon or stay on top of this Substack.
I’ll be back soon with another post.
I have a few ideas lingering in my mind that need to be put down on paper (…er… screen?).
I have a mailbag I’m working on, a post about Steak Night, and a post reflecting on Herm Edwards’ words, “You. Play. To. Win. The. Game.”
In the meantime, I have 60,000 or so words to get through before mid-June.
I’ll be back real soon.
Until then, I’ll leave you with a thought:
Today’s Gospel reading reminded us that Jesus calls us the salt of the earth.
And salt melts ICE.
So go be salty in all the right ways.

Looking forward to your book. Praying for you in this process. A early happy lent
And to be the light of the world and to put our light on the Lamp stand!
